Space Bound Canada YP 2023

Our team was over the moon to host our inaugural Young Professionals event, in partnership with Space Canada and Space Law Society Ottawa, as an addition to the Space Bound Conference 2023 in Ottawa on October 17, 2023.

Our event brought in speakers and panelists from industry and academia to empower and inspire the next generation of space. This year’s speakers and panelists included: Dr. Tanya Harrison (Keynote Speaker), Dani McCoy (Magnestar), Kurtis Broda (Wyvern), Dr. Samara Pillay (Mission Control), Jen Scholten (Avalon Space), Tyrone Woods (CASTOR), and Sean Mitra (Lunar Water Supply Company).

As part of the event, participants were also granted access to the Parliamentary opening reception for the Space Bound conference and met various key stakeholders in the space sector, including former astronaut David Saint-Jacques!

We are excited to bring more of these space networking opportunities to students and young professionals across Canada and hope to see you join us in the future!
