From a young age, Ben Adam Bornstein has been fascinated by the intersection of materials, aerospace technology, and space exploration. This curiosity led him to pursue a degree in Materials Engineering with a minor in Robotics at the University of Toronto, where he is currently in his third year. His passion for innovation, problem-solving, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible has driven him to explore the applications of materials science in the space industry.

Ben is deeply involved in hands-on engineering challenges as the Chief Systems Engineer for the University of Toronto Aerospace Team (UTAT) FINCH mission. Defining requirements, developing designs and validation plans are all key aspects of Ben's work within UTAT. He seeks to push forward an inclusive environment where engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, economics and much more can be taught by students, for students.

Looking ahead, Ben hopes to contribute to the cutting-edge innovation shaping the future of space travel. He looks to push forward a world where space exploration is a privilege for all to experience. As an aspiring engineer in the space sector, he is eager to leverage his expertise in materials and robotics to develop technologies that will propel humanity beyond our planet.
