Ever since Netra was a child, she would stare up at the sky and wonder what else was out there. That curiosity turned into a full-blown passion for space and how technology can push our boundaries. When she graduated high school and landed at the University of Calgary, Netra knew she wanted to dive into aerospace while majoring in electrical engineering.

At the University of Calgary, Netra joined CalgaryToSpace, a 3U satellite team, in February 2021. Within the team, her responsibilities centered around designing the power budget, PCB boards, and selecting Electrical Power Systems (EPS). More recently, she transitioned into the role of Project Manager, steering her team towards a launch by early 2025.

Outside of academics, you'll find Netra being active or traveling. She's got her first half-marathon coming up in May. The goal is to run the "big 6" marathons around the globe someday. She also hopes to go backpacking across Asia and Europe!

Looking ahead, Netra is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to absorb knowledge and insights as a mentee. She is enthusiastic about the prospect of learning from professionals and diving deeper into the world of space exploration and technological innovation.
