Eshaa is a second-year student at the University of Toronto pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with minors in Artificial Intelligence and Engineering Business.

Eshaa grew up in Toronto, Ontario where she has been deeply fascinated by space exploration and solidified her undergraduate career where she joined clubs to apply her curiosity to. One of these clubs being the University of Toronto Aerospace Team, where she assisted in developing ideas with mentors on an ACDS (Attitude Determination and Control Systems) module that the team is currently working on. She also is a member of the Formula Racing Team, particularly the firmware subsystem, developing arduino scripts for the electronics of the race car design.

Beyond her interests in automobile and space explorations, Eshaa was the founder of the Friendly SeniorLink project, an effort to prioritise mental health for the elderly during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing services such as letter writing, caller programs & resources with volunteers. As the founder, she worked closely with local retirement homes and was able to promote the program to youth volunteers and the elderly in the community. Additionally, she serves as a communication engagement member for UofT AI, a student group that promotes students’ careers or interest in Artificial Intelligence. In this role, Eshaa combines her passion for working with her peers and promoting Artificial Intelligence to provide opportunities for students to explore careers in the field.

Apart from her academic and professional initiatives, Eshaa enjoys swimming, where she teaches others lifesaving skills as an Aquatics Instructor and National Lifeguard. In her spare time she enjoys discovering new hiking trails, travelling as well as trying her hand at new recipes.

Through her academic, professional, and personal endeavours, Eshaa hopes that she will make an impactful and passionate addition to the industry by studying the importance of artificial intelligence in the context of space exploration. Eshaa is honoured to be a Zenith Mentee this year, and cannot wait for the amazing opportunities the future has in store.
