Dani Zhao has always been captivated by the process of turning ideas into reality. Whether designing, building, or testing, they thrive on solving engineering challenges and refining their craft. This drive and curiosity led them to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Queen’s University.

Currently on internship at MDA Space, Dani is contributing to the development and execution of robotic interface compatibility testing for the Canadarm3 and Lunar Gateway programs. Collaborating with the robotic emulation and controls team, Dani has furthered their interest in mechatronics and is pursuing further experience in the field.

Outside of work, Dani enjoys tackling personal engineering projects, from non-pneumatic wheels to high-powered rockets, always seeking to push the boundaries of their technical expertise.

Dani is honoured to be a Zenith Fellow and looks forward to the opportunities for collaboration, learning, and growth within the program.
