Casia is a Mission Systems Engineer at MDA, currently working on Canadarm3 for the Lunar Gateway project. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta. Casia has experience on various engineering projects and has a strong passion for space. She participated in an internship at the Laboratory of Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) working on an international cube satellite project. She also participated in the Canada-Norway Student Sounding Rocket (CaNoRock) exchange program where she helped build and launch a sounding rocket. During her undergrad she was the Mechanical Lead of a cube satellite mission with AlbertaSat, leading the mechanical design of satellite structure. Casia is eager to share her passion for space with others and help pave the way for those wanting to join the Canadian space industry.
